JULY’s ‘On the Nail’ literary gathering will take place next Tuesday 5 in The Buttery on Bedford Row at 8pm.

The evening will platform two experienced, published writers, Edward O’Dwyer, a Limerick man and the American veteran Knute Skinner.

O’Dwyer has published in many journals throughout the world including The Forward Book of Poetry 2015. He was selected in 2010 for Poetry Ireland’s ‘Introductions’ Series and has been shortlisted for a Hennessy Award, the Desmond O’Grady Prize and the North West Words Prize, among others.

Clare based Knute Skinner has taught literature and creative writing at Western Washington University. He served as editor of Bellingham Review and director of Signpost Press, as well as being on the board of the Irish journal ‘New Series: Departures’. He is the author of 11 collections of poetry.
