Award-winning GĂșna Nua Theatre returns to Limerick this month with a sharp, heartfelt exploration of love, memory and the messy reality of modern parenting.

GĂșna Nua Theatre brings its acclaimed production Synapses to Belltable on Thursday May 28.

Billed as a play about love, memory and the romance of parenting, Synapses is a fast-paced comedy drama that follows Mike and Emily, two young separated parents locked in the familiar battles over money, access and differing approaches to raising their young son.

Forced together one fateful afternoon for the sake of their child, the pair must find a better way forward — only for everything to unravel, then resolve, as an electrical fault sends them spinning through time in search of the truth.

Funny, honest and emotionally resonant, the production has drawn warm praise from critics. The Irish Independent described it as “open, honest
leaving you feeling you’ve stepped inside their lives.”
