micro nv artworks-000130710520-ka6vff-t500x500LIMERICK electronic music producer Proper Micro NV (aka Rory Hall) is signed to German music label Plasmapool. Rory, also a DJ on Spin South West, released his first single ‘We Must Go Now’ in January and peaked at number 18 in the Irish Dance Chart. His new EP ‘Rivive/Erase’ is out now.

The musician is among 30 artists and bands shortlisted for a chance to play Electric Picnic in Play The Picnic with RTE 2fm and Oxfam.

The ten acts to play the picnic are decided on by public vote.

Proper Micro NV is calling on people here in Limerick to vote for him in the final round of the competition. Each text vote costs €2 and voters are entered into a prize draw to win one of two pairs of weekend camping tickets to the now sold-out Electric Picnic. Voters will also be helping to raise vital funds for Oxfam’s work such as its emergency responses for refugees worldwide.

Proper Micro NV said: “Last year I went to Electric Picnic as a fan, watching Grace Jones, Roisín Murphy and Underworld going just a little bit insane on stage! Now it actually could be me. Oh wow. If you’d like to see Limerick represented at Electric Picnic and see me transfer music I made in my bedroom to the Electric Picnic stage, please text PICNIC28 to 50300 to vote for me and make me a very happy Proper Micro NV!”
