Coláiste Chiaráin has concluded a successful run of “Hairspray the Musical” in the Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College. The show ran from Friday 26th to Saturday 27th January with both nights a sellout! The hardworking cast and crew had been preparing for this production since September 2017 and put in tireless hours after school, during the Christmas holidays, mid-terms and the weekends.
Over the years Coláiste Chiaráin has been renowned for its remarkable performances of musical theatre. Some past productions are; “Little Shop of Horrors”, “A Night at the Musicals”, “We Will Rock U”, “Grease”, “The Wiz”, “Oliver!”, “All Shook Up”, “Hi-Tech School Musical”, “School of Fame” and “Back to the 80’s”. This production of “Hairspray” has surpassed them all.
