Cast of 60 to Sixmilebridge panto Rapunzel!

Staged over two weekends in February

THERE’S not long to go until pantomime season in Sixmilebridge as their youth club takes to the stage with ‘Rapunzel’, knocking out four performances over two weekends.

The popular event takes place in the Sixmilebridge GAA Hall over the final two weekends of February, with 8pm shows on Friday February 16, Friday February 23 and Saturday February 24. The performance on Saturday February 17 is a late matinée beginning at 6pm.

More than 60 young people from Sixmilebridge are set to dazzle audiences with captivating musical numbers, sensational dance routines and, as always, witty, lively comedy.

This panto will tell the story of Rapunzel (Alanna Marsh), captured as a baby and not seen for 17 years. Her parents and friends instigate a search for the princess with the exceptionally long hair, while her father the King of Hearts (Gerard O’Dea) becomes involved in a love triangle with palace housekeeper Goldy Locks (Liam Togher) and Jagger the Swedish chef (Stephen O’Dea).

Tickets for a modest price for Sixmilebridge Youth Club’s ‘Rapunzel’ are available from members and local shops.
