‘My Real Life’ is a mesmerising 75 minute monologue by award-winning author Eoin Colfer, performed by Don Wycherley and directed by Ben Barnes. This witty tale of an invalid’s final hour will take place at the Belltable at 8pm this Thursday March 29, booking at venue manager www.limetreetheatre.ie

A veteran of MS and wheelchair bound, Wycherly’s character Noel has two sides of an old cassette tape on which to record last words.

Noel has decided to end it all. While waiting for his overdose to take effect he records an increasingly rambling message full of humour and small-town anecdotes for his best friend.

Noel has apologies to make and messages to send. He has love in his heart and wants to declare it even if it is already too late.

He spends what is possibly the last hour of his life re-living the highs and lows of the past 40 years and, surprisingly perhaps, it’s not all doom and gloom.

This is Eoin Colfer’s [Artemis Fowl series] acclaimed blackly comedic and moving play about love, life, death and the Thompson Twins.

Belltable, Thursday March 29| 8pm.
