Saint Marys cathedral

The year 2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage. The #Ode2Joy Challenge is a social media initiative celebrating Europe’s cultural heritage throughout the year.

Participants either individually or as a group, are invited to create a video of their own performance of Beethoven & Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”, in connection to a heritage site that matters to them, and posting it on social media.

Joyful Lyrics

Saint Mary’s Cathedral under the watchful eye of Organist and Choir Master Mr
Peter Barley are rising to the challenge. They would like to invite all students, lecturers,
and staff to a “flash mob” in Saint Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday May 9th at 3.00pm to sing
Ode to Joy.

We have thankfully attracted a lot of attention from the other educational
institutes in Limerick. If you are interested in joining, just come along or if you would like further information please contact cathedral@limerick.anglican.org.
