Limerick’s CWB bringing a classy premier to the city on Saturday

JUST a week after the huge success of Féile Classical in Thurles which entertained over 30,000 music fans over two nights at Semple Stadium, it is the turn of Limerick to welcome an ambitious spectacular show combining popular culture with a full orchestra at Limerick Gaelic Grounds.

‘National Geographic: Symphony for our World’ brings stunning wildlife visuals on two high definition screens with a live performance from an 80 piece orchestra led by Irish composer/ arranger/ violinist Kenneth Rice.

“A technically demanding but hugely impressive spectacle” is how Limerick production company CWB describe the upcoming European premiere of ‘National Geographic: Symphony for our World’. It will be the first concert to be held in the Gaelic Grounds Stadium.
The audience will enjoy the full impact of the immersive symphonic experience from this five-part composition created by Bleeding Fingers Music (also composers of theme music for BBC’s ‘Blue Planet II’, ‘Planet Earth II’ and ‘Big Cats’).

CWB states that this is a show suitable for all the family.
“There is no age limit. It is for everyone of all ages who is interested in spectacle, music, big concerts and mind blowing experiences.”

Up to 90,000 people have turned out in Limerick for the homecoming celebrations of the Limerick senior hurling team after their first All-Ireland win in 45 years.
