Clef Community Choir create a virtual choir

THE Clef Community Choir usually meet on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm in the Whitehouse Bar, Limerick however, that has not been possible due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Even though the choir were unable to meet, they were determined to spread some positivity while people are in quarantine or practising social distancing.

They decided to create a virtual choir. The members of the choir received videos teaching them their individual parts. They then recorded themselves singing in their own homes.

All of the voices were then brought together with a backing track, using editing software, and the choir sang together on the track.

Clef Choir have now released a lyric video of ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John and the video is also acting as a charity fundraiser for Alone.

“We really want to help to lift the spirits of as many people as we can. We hope to do more songs over the coming weeks also,” Aisling White of Clef Choir said.
