LOUGH Gur is the latest winner of the ‘Sound Town’ competition organised by Today FM and Cadbury Ireland for creating a positive community movement during Covid-19.
Local woman Jean Lyons was among a group of volunteers who put together a weekly newsletter for cocooners.
One cocooner is randomly selected each week to talk about living in Lough Gur and the newsletter also contains recipes and a crossword competition, with local businesses donating competition prizes.
