THE Mid West Mentoring Group is asking people from Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary to help them reach their target of walking or running two million steps to raise funds for Cliona’s Foundation.
The fundraising event, which is being co-ordinated by John Loftus of the Mid West Mentoring Group, will be held from July 24 to 31.
Cliona’s Foundation is a Limerick-based charity that provides financial assistance nationwide towards the non-medical costs that families face while their child has a life-limiting illness.
Non-medical costs are any expense that families face while their child is in hospital, which could include costs such as fuel, parking, accommodation, but also the costs they will continue to face at home including mortgage, heat, gas, electricity bills.
Since its launch in 2007, Cliona’s has helped over 900 families in 29 of the 32 counties.
Anyone who would like to get involved in the two million steps challenge, should contact darren@clionas.ie
