Weekend Sport | What to watch and where to find it

IT’S  that time of the week once again where we will run you through the jam-packed action of sports that will be on this weekend. We will tell you what you can watch and where you can find it.

 

Saturday

 

Saturday will have several events taking place throughout the day. Cricket will be available to viewers from 10.15am on Sky Sports Cricket and involves England v India.

Olympics action will be live from Tokyo at 11pm on RTÉ 2, coverage of the games can also be found on Eurosport at 10.50pm and BBC 1 from 10.35pm. Highlights can be seen on RTÉ 2 from 7.30pm.

 

Golf fans will be able to catch the action from St Andrews with the Hero Open taking place at 12.30pm on Sky Sports golf. The St Jude Invitational will also be broadcast on the same channel at 5pm.

 

The hugely anticipated match in the Rugby this weekend again comes from Cape Town as the British & Irish Lions face off against South Africa in the third test match of the series, with the winner claiming the series victory. Gatland’s men will be looking to win the series as well as seeking revenge for last week’s defeat. The game will kick off at 5pm and will be live on Sky Sports from 3.30pm.

 

Horse Racing will be shown on ITV 4 from 12.30pm with the Shergar Cup taking place.

 

GAA has another weekend of exciting fixtures taking place, none more so than Limerick v Waterford in the All-Ireland senior hurling semi-final. The game will start at 5pm and will be shown live on Sky Sports Arena.

 

Soccer fans will be able to tune in to see Leicester take on Manchester City in the FA Community Shield from 5pm and will be available on UTV. Championship action will also resume as Sheffield United will face off against Birmingham City, the fixture can be found on Sky Sports Football at 8pm.

 

SUNDAY

 

Sunday sports sees little slowing down in the entertainment available to viewers as Cricket again will be on show with action between England and India continuing on Sky Sports Cricket from 10.15am.

 

The Tokyo hosted games will be back from 11pm on RTÉ 2. Olympics resumes once more with coverage of the games available on RTÉ 2 from 11.45am, Eurosport 1 form 11.30am and also on BBC 1 from 11.55am for the closing ceremony. Highlights of the action will be available from 7.10pm on RTÉ 2.

 

GAA action will include another All-Ireland semi-final between Kilkenny and Cork, the match will be live from 3.30pm on Sky Sports Arena. Highlights will be shown on RTÉ 2 from 9.30pm.

 

The Hero Open will continue on Sunday in the golf on Sky Sports Golf from 12.30pm, while the St Jude Invitational will also resume on the same channel at 5pm.

 

Horse Racing involves coverage from Haydock Park and the Curragh from 3.45pm on ITV 4.

 

Soccer from the Championship will see Fulham play Middlesbrough at 1.30pm, followed by Coventry City v Nottingham Forest at 4.30pm, both games will be broadcast on Sky Sports Football. Barcelona will take on the challenge of Juventus in a friendly exhibition at 8.30pm on Premier Sports 1.

 

UFC will be back on this weekend with the main event including Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane at UFC 265 in Houston from 3am on BT Sport 1.
