LEO Limerick provides reopening supports for local small business

-

LEO Limerick is offering a range of supports to support local employers during reopening including online training and one to one specialist meetings.

Booking are now open for a HR and Employment Law seminar on Friday, October 1 which will be led by Caroline Reidy from The HR Suite. The seminar will update employers on best practise HR, return to work protocol and relevant HR policies employers need to implement.

“As an SME or business owner facing the ongoing challenges of the return to work and managing people living and working with COVD, it is crucial to stay up to date and informed of all the legislative requirements,” Ms Reidy explained.

The two- hour session will cover the latest Covid-19 requirements, the new statutory sick pay scheme, the right to disconnect, new code of practice on bullying at work as well as the Family Leave and Miscellaneous Provisions Act. There will also be a question and answer session.

Mike Cantwell, Head of LEO and Innovate Limerick said that the new SME Taskforce developed by Limerick City and County Council in Innovate Limerick focuses on the needs of small businesses and service providers in Limerick City and county.

Chaired by Mayor Daniel Butler, the taskforce requested that LEO Limerick schedule additional free business advice clinics and mentoring to support businesses through reopening as well as training on HR and financial returns. The webinars also help business owners network and learn from employers with similar challenges.

Find out more and book a place at training or book a place at the next business advice clinic on September 22 at localenterpise.ie/limerick or phone 061 557499.
