Puppy mania hits Limerick

THE search is on to track down the most adorable pup in Limerick. Petmania Jetland and Eastpoint have opened public voting in search of Limerick’s 2021 Puppy of the Year.

Two Limerick finalists will go forward for the chance to win the national title and scoop prizes worth over €1,500.

Over 1,500 puppy entries have been received and verified for this year’s competition to find Ireland’s top dog.

Six adorable pooches are representing the Limerick Petmania store at the Eastpoint Retail Centre in the local finals. The Eastpoint contenders are: Oscar, a Cavachon; Henry, a Lakeland terrier; Border Collies Willow and Nero; and two Golden Retrievers, Kerry and Toby.

Petmania Jetland are pinning their hopes on: Ruby, a miniature Schnauzer; Pablo, an English bulldog; Izzy, a Yorkshire terrier; Sunny a Cavachon; Berlington Bertie, a Basset hound; and Bella, a Staffordshire bull terrier.

Pet lovers have until midnight on Thursday, October 21 to cast their vote in store or on the www.petmania.ie. website.

The overall winner will be announced on the Petmania social media channels at the end of October.
