LIMERICK hotels were successful at the Gold Medal Awards last night, bringing home multiple awards in their respective categories at the Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny.
Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel in Adare took the Gold medal for Family Friendly hotel. This followed its fourth place on the list of best hotels to stay in Ireland at the Reader Travel Awards in January.
The Savoy Hotel in Limerick City picked up the silver award in the Five Star Hotel category, finishing behind Hayfield Manor Hotel. They also won the Bronze award for Best Afternoon Tea, with Dromoland Castle claiming the Gold award.
The Clare hotel is no stranger to winning at the Gold Medal Awards, having previously won the Hotel Breakfast category at the 2019 awards.
Limerick’s Strand Hotel won the Silver award in the Best City Hotel category.
Ashford Castle in Mayo was the big winner on the night, taking the 2021 Supreme Winner award.
