#BREAKING: Two arrested in relation to fatal assault

GARDAÍ investigating the fatal assault that claimed the life of Alan Bourke at Colbert Station Plaza in Limerick City on Good Friday, April 15 have arrested two men this afternoon.

The men, who are in their mid to late 30s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Roxboro Road and Henry Street Garda Stations.

A Garda spokeswoman said that  investigations are ongoing.

The late Mr Bourke, who represented Ireland in rugby and soccer, was buried this afternoon in Castlemungret Cemetery, following Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church.
