Opportunity to explore Limerick Citizen Innovation Lab

AS part of the latest City Engage Week initiative, members of the public have the chance to explore the newly opened Citizen Innovation Lab until this Friday, April 29.

Located at the UL City Campus on Sarsfield Street, the Citizen Innovation Lab has been developed collaboratively by Limerick City and County Council and the University of Limerick as part of the +CityxChange project.

The Lab is designed to be a place for observation, co-creation and experimentation where people can take part in activities to help shape a sustainable future for the city.

Welcoming the City Engage Week initiative, Mayor Daniel Butler said it was a fantastic way for citizens to share their ideas and play an active role in determining how Limerick can develop, particularly in the context of energy transition.

“The Citizen Innovation Lab is a place where people can engage on climate action and the challenges that will result from climate change,” he said.
