Limerick vaccination expert warns of winter infections

ANYONE eligible to receive vaccine boosters should book a vaccination appointment to protect themselves against anticipated surges in Covid-19 and flu infections this winter.

That’s the advice of a senior University of Limerick Hospitals Group doctor who is who is medical adviser to the Mid West Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.

Respiratory physician Dr Eithne Mulloy warned: “Covid-19 is still an ever-present threat. It hasn’t gone away. And it’s particularly important coming into the winter to get vaccinated”.

She said that people in 60 to 64-year age group should make sure to get their booster as soon as they can.
