Covid clinic relocated as cases rise in Limerick

St Joseph's Health Campus on Mulgrave Street.

WITH PCR-detected Covid cases on the rise in Limerick, the Covid-19 test centre, currently located at the former Wickes Building on the Ballysimon Road, will move to an interim site at the St Joseph’s Health Campus on Mulgrave Street (V94 C8DV) from Monday.

The test centre at St. Joseph’s Health Campus will continue to offer appointments seven days a week and testing capacity will remain unchanged.

The move comes as Limerick is included among the counties with the highest incidence of Covid-19 per 100,000, along with Laois, Waterford, Donegal, Offaly and Kilkenny.

The highest number of new PCR-confirmed cases was among people in the 35 to 44 age group and there was a slight increase in patients with Covid in hospital and ICU in recent days.

Appointments at the test centre on the St Joseph’s Health Campus will be available through the self-referral portal on HSE.ie  and by referral through family doctors.
