BALLYSTEEN native Patrick Neville enjoyed a remarkable Monday afternoon at Catterick by landing the first treble of his training career.
Neville, who has only been based in the UK since last year, registered wins with ‘Fison Du Mou’ (ridden by Gavin Sheehan) at 15/8, 9/1 shot ‘Not Staying Long’ (Brian Hughes) and ‘Kavanaghs Cross’, again under Hughes, at generous odds of 9/1.
āI had a double in Ireland, but Iāve never had a treble before, so weāll take it. The horses are in good form and Iām delighted with the way they all ran,ā Neville said.
āThe first race was a tricky enough race with only two runners and we had to make the running and do it the hard way, then in the maresā race I was hoping thereād more runners to give ‘Beauty To Behold’ some cover, but she ran very keen.
āThe other mare did it well though and Iām happy enough with both of them. Hopefully we can keep them all in good form.ā
