Quality healthcare at Mungret Medical Centre

Mungret Medical Centre (MMC) opened in February 2022 and has recently celebrated its first year in practice serving the communities of Mungret and further afield for their GP needs. MMC is a new GP practice that has been established by two speciality trained GPs Dr Brian McEllistrem and Dr Muireann Clifford in the village of Mungret in the suburbs of Limerick city (opposite Mungret Church).
From the outset, Mungret Medical Centre (MMC) has been set up with the highest standards in mind in order to deliver quality healthcare in the community. In recent months, with additions to the nursing and medical administration team, a wider spectrum of services can be offered at MMC. Current services include General Practice (GP) services (acute care, chronic care such as asthma and diabetes, mental health issues etc), women’s health, men’s health, joint injections, cryosurgery (freezing of skin moles etc.), screening services (CervicalCheck etc.), vaccinations (childhood, adult, and travel – including yellow fever), phlebotomy (blood tests), ECG, driving licence medicals, health checks, and occupational health services.
