THROUGH its various social media challenges, Limerick GAA will release John Kiely’s much-anticipated team for Sunday’s National Hurling League Final clash with Kilkenny on this Friday night, 9pm. Â
The main injury worry is David Reidy, who knocked over eight points in the opening couple of rounds of the competition. He suffered a hamstring injury in the round two outing with Clare at the Gaelic Grounds and remains on the recovery path. Â
Midfielder William O’Donoghue is ruled-out through suspension. Â
It’s unlikely that Kiely, and fellow selectors Paul Kinnerk, Donal O’Grady, Alan Cunningham and Aonghus O’Brien, will tinker much with the side that accounted for Tipperary in the home semi-final a fortnight ago.  Â
Still, there were five All-Stars who didn’t start that evening, namely Kyle Hayes, Dan Morrissey, Richie English, Séamus Flanagan and Gearóid Hegarty, and this quintet must surely come into the selectorial thinking of management. Â
Limerick are aiming to win the League for a 14th occasion, which would place them joint third, alongside Cork, in the overall Roll of Honour, shared by Tipperary and Cork with 19 titles each. Â
