Learners at College of FET, Mulgrave Street Campus to showcase their talents at upcoming Arts Festival

Learners from College of FET, Mulgrave Street Campus have created over 150 mixed media portraits for the visual Art exhibition ‘Faces of Limerick’ as part of the upcoming Arts Festival at Belltable Limerick on Thursday May 25 and Friday May 26.

College Of FET, Mulgrave St Campus learners are in the final preparation stages this week as they get ready to host their Arts Festival on Thursday May 25 and Friday May 26 at Belltable, 69 O’Connell Street.
Opening at 7pm on Thursday, May 25, this two-day extravaganza is a vibrant celebration of talent and innovation, showcasing an impressive array of artistic forms.
From captivating films and stunning photography to mesmerising animation, cutting-edge fashion, soul-stirring music, and awe-inspiring visual art, this festival is a melting pot of creative brilliance.
Not only does it provide a platform for learners to showcase their exceptional work to the community, but it also shines a spotlight on the multitude of creative offerings nurtured at the Mulgrave Street Campus.
Learners, departments, and emerging artists from various disciplines will come together over the two days to share their artistic vision and express themselves through their unique perspectives.
Those attending the festival will get the chance to immerse themselves in a rich cultural experience and enjoy a variety of events and activities, including film screenings, photography showcases and fashion shows. They will also have the chance to discover new music and explore the imaginative world of animation.
The festival will kick off with a grand official launch on Thursday, May 25, at 7pm, followed by the opening of the visual art exhibition titled ‘Faces of Limerick,’ boasting an astonishing collection of over 150 mixed media artworks. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into captivating podcasts and enjoy a diverse range of films produced by the talented learners, screening from 8pm to 9.30pm.
Other highlights on the opening night include a Photography Showcase, an Animation Showcase and some Animations Stop-Motion screenings.
On Friday May 26 at 1pm the festival will feature a Fashion Show with creations from Fashion Design, Textile Portfolio and Dressmaking learners followed by a Music Showcase from 2-3.30pm bringing the festival to a close.
