Given the size of the posts, the thief would have needed a large van or a lorry to transport the posts, according to Garda John Finnerty from Henry Street Garda Station.

Anyone who has information on this theft is urged to contact Kilmallock Garda Station on 063 98 018.

Finally, Gardaí are making enquiries regarding a theft from a vehicle in Ballyclough on the Mallow border.

On the morning of Friday June 30, between 2am and 3am, a BMW X5 jeep was broken into outside a house in the Thorndale area, whereupon a quantity of loose coins was stolen from inside the vehicle.

According to Gardaí, no description of the thieves is available, but anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214 340.
