Sean Donal O'Sea, Local Champion and Dementia Advisor for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland in Limerick City and County.

LIMERICK people are encouraged to come together in September to walk, talk, and raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

The Alzheimer’s Annual Memory Walk takes place in Mungret Park next month and aims to bring families, friends, and those living with dementia together.

The Memory Walk is a 5km walk around the park and is open to everyone.

Registrations are €5 for children and €18 for adults, and all funds raised will go towards the services of the Alzheimer Society.

An estimated 64,000 people in Ireland live with dementia.
