Memorial service for Limerick’s hairstylist to the stars

A MEMORIAL service for a celebrated Limerick stylist to the stars will take place this weekend.

John Barrett (66), originally from The Cross, Ardagh, County Limerick, passed away last month after a brief illness.

He was known internationally as a hairstylist to the likes of Princess Diana, Julia Roberts, Martha Stewart, Helena Bonham Carter, Beyonce, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, working from his famed John Barrett Salon in New York City.

A special memorial service for the late Mr Barrett will be held this Saturday (September 16) from 12pm at St Molua’s Church in Ardagh.

The Limerick man is predeceased by parents John and Philomena, brothers Christopher and Jimmy, and sister Peggy, and survived by brothers Pat, Mike, Eddie, Joe, Gerry, and sister Kathleen.
