LIMERICK’s newest discount store is to open its doors to the public for the first time this weekend.

European chain Pepco, parent company of the Dealz chain of stores in Ireland, will open its doors at the Childers Road Retail Park on Saturday (September 23), selling everything from fashion and beauty to food and homeware.

The latest opening will mark Pepco’s eighth store in Ireland after seven Dealz stores were rebranded with the Pepco name.

Pepco is one of the landmark brands, alongside Dealz and its UK counterpart Poundland, in the Pepco Group, which has its base in Poznan, Poland.

Olivia McLoughlin, Trading Country Operations Manager for both Pepco and Dealz in Ireland, said: “We’re delighted at the initial reaction to our Pepco stores in Ireland and we’re extremely excited to be opening our newest Pepco store in Limerick.”

“We’ve been working hard to ensure we bring the items that we know our customers already love along with much more.

“We know purse strings are tight for many families throughout Ireland and that’s why we also know the value we offer will matter,” she concluded.

Limerick’s new Pepco store follows in the footsteps of seven other Pepco branches nationwide, including The Courtyard in Newbridge, County Kildare, the Galway Shopping Centre, The Square in Tallaght, and the Abbeycourt in Tralee.

The Limerick branch will officially open on Saturday (September 23) at 9am.

The new store is the latest in a line of companies opening new outlets at Childers Road Retail Park, with American-style diner Shake Dog opening another outlet there recently.

Shake Dog took over the former Pizza Hut restaurant building alongside sandwich chain Brunch.
