Milford earns from Tom’s Fundraiser

Tom Ahern proudly returned to Milford Care Centre this week to handover an impressive €18,465.80 to the charity, the proceeds of the Night at the Dogs Fundraiser he held in Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 7th October.

A Night at the Dogs Fundraiser at Limerick has generated of €18,500 for Milford Care Centre.  

Run by Tom Ahern of Kilmeedy, in memory of his late mother Esther who received such wonderful care from Milford Team ahead of her passing earlier this year, the event was an overwhelming success. 

At the presentation to Milford’s Anne-Marie Hayes, Ahern said: “I’d just like to thank everyone who contributed to this night in so many various ways, like those who sold tickets, purchased tickets, contributed raffle prizes, race sponsors and so on.” 

“Also thank to all who attended on the night, including special guests Barry Nash and Kyle Hayes, along with racing journalist Ian Fortune, and everyone else who contributed and made the night so great, thank you so much.  It’s all you that have contributed this so, it’s a wonderful cause and I’m glad to have done it. Thank you.” 

Mr. Ahern is a Welfare Officer with the Limerick-headquartered Irish Greyhound Board.
