CALVIN NASH grabbed a brace out of Munster’s impressive haul of seven against Dragons in an entertaining URC encounter at Musgrave Park.

The bonus point 41-9 victory ensured Graham Rowntree’s side remain unbeaten in the early stages of a title won thrilling earlier in the season.

On Saturday, Munster were on top outset and were well on their way to victory when they opened up a 17-0 lead inside the opening half-four.

Rory Scannell got over for the opening try after 15 minutes, with Tony Butler converting, and four minutes later, Gavin Coombes drove over.

Man-of-the-match Nash then nipped in for his opening five-pointer to help Munster into to 17-7 lead at the break.

A patient build-up produced the bonus point try after 48 minutes with Edwin Edogbo making inroads before his equally promising lock partner Tom Ahern stretched to score for the second week in a row. Butler converted to make it 24-7.

Munster pushed on from there with Craig Casey scoring before Brian Gleeson scored his first try for Munster.

Nash scored his second try next after a grubber from Jack Crowley but the 26-year-old winger limped off after being injured in the process.

Munster travel to face Ulster – themselves narrowly beaten by Connacht in Galway at the weekend – in the same competition on Friday. Kick-off, 7.35pm.
