The portrait of Vicky Phelan will be unveiled at UL on November 23.

AN event will take place at the University of Limerick campus later this month to honour the life of the late Vicky Phelan, and to continue her legacy.

The Vicky Phelan Campaign and Portrait Tour will take place at the Analog Devices Building on the University of Limerick (UL) campus on November 23, which will see a portrait of Vicky unveiled and presented by a friend of Vicky’s, David Brennan.

The portrait, painted by Vincent Devine, tells the story of Vicky’s life in three panels, from her childhood to adult life.

Following the unveiling, a panel discussion will take place moderated by Shona Project CEO, Tammy Darcy, and featuring Liz Yeates, Marie Keating Foundation, Cian O’Carroll, solicitor and Caoimhe O’Neill-Forde, 221+ Support Group.

Ms Phelan was a graduate of UL, receiving a BA in European Studies in 1997.
