SHANNON – aiming to recover quickly from a heavy loss at Ballynahinch – entertain deadly Munster rivals Cork Constitution in an attractive All-Ireland League Division 1A fixture at Thomond Park this afternoon (Saturday, 2.30pm).

Elsewhere, Young Munster – just edged-out by Clontarf, 39-44, in a try-fest at Tom Clifford Park at the weekend – are away to UCD at Belfield.

In 1B, Garryowen are at Naas.

In 2A, in-form UL Bohemian travel to Cashel and Old Crescent are away to Banbridge, while in 2C Bruff host Clogher Valley.

The county side came from the proverbial next parish to draw with Galwegians, 26 points each, on Saturday.

Here a couple of late opening-half tries from Pa Maher kept Bruff in the chase after they fell 26-nil behind very early.
