SHANNON Airport facilitated two diverted flights this morning (Monday) from Dublin Airport due to Storm Debi.

A spokesperson for Shannon Airport said that two flights, originally destined to land at Dublin Airport, were diverted to the County Clare airport.

A Finnair flight from Helsinki to Dublin was the first of the flights to divert, landing safely at 9.40am.

The second flight to land at Shannon was a New York to Dublin flight, which safely landed at 10.11am.

The spokesperson confirmed that all flights in and out of Shannon Airport were operating, but advised passengers to check with their airlines before travelling in case of delays at other international airports.
