A SUPPORTER has been banned from attending future home Munster fixtures following an incident during the European Champions Cup fixture with Aviron Bayonnais at Thomond Park.

Video footage showed a member of the crowd grabbing the shirt of Bayonne second row Konstantin Mikautadze following an altercation with a number of Munster players.

In a statement, Munster Rugby said it “can confirm that a decision has been made to prohibit the supporter involved in an incident on Saturday from attending Munster Rugby home games.

“An investigation commenced on Sunday with the supporter getting in contact with the province this morning to identify himself and apologise for his actions.
