Mulcahy goes back to school for charity auction

THERE’S likely to be strong interest in the auction of the framed signed jersey worn by Limerick star Graeme Mulcahy in the 2023 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final win over Kilkenny at Croke Park.

The five-time All-Ireland medal winner has generously donated the item for auction, with proceeds towards a proposed new all-weather sports facility at Scoil Mocheallóg, Kilmallock.

“Graeme has fantastic memories of school hurling and was delighted to hear of the development of the new all-weather area that will benefit our young people of today and and allow the future pupils in Kilmallock access to a state of the art, all-year round playing surface,” commented principal Leonie Passmore.

She added: “Sport and games and physical activity is a critical part of the development of our children. Scoil Mocheallóg has a long tradition of fostering, nurturing and developing the sporting careers of our young people – a proud tradition that can be traced back over 100 years.”
