Good win for Limerick minor camogie

Limerick enjoyed a winning start to the Munster Minor Camogie Championship at the weekend.

A SNUG 1-10 to 1-7 win over Clare in Cappamore has put Limerick through to the Munster Minor Championship proper, with a trip to Waterford in the offing on Sunday next.

Against the banner, Limerick’s goal came from Adare’s Aebhín Houlihan, while some quality points were scored by Róisín O’Brien, Patrickswell, (4) and Poppy Giltenane, Adare, (3).

Limerick are under the joint management of Adare’s Tony Dunne and Paul Neenan, Dromin/Athlacca.

Meanwhile, Laura Fennelly of Cappamore has been announced as Limerick Senior Captain for 2024, with Niamh Ryan (St. Ailbe’s) and Teresa Dore (Patrickswell) as vice-captains.

Limerick are managed this season by two-time All-Star hurling goalkeeper Joe Quaid.
