A NUMBER of Limerick primary school were among the winners at the inaugural Re-Turn Awards, which aim to recognise school that have gone above and beyond in recycling.
Scoil Naomh Mhuire was honoured with the Re-turn Awareness Campaign Award for its ‘Can You Bottle It for Ballyhahill?’ campaign, which brought the school’s recycling and fundraising efforts to life across the community.
St. Anne’s Primary School and St Joseph’s Boys’ National School Rathkeale were also honoured, winning the Re-turn Teamwork Award for their joint campaign led by the Parents Council and involving all 345 pupils.
The schools received €1,000 for their efforts at the awards.
