LIMERICK’S Paddy ‘The Real Deal’ Donovan made it 13 straight wins as a professional with another knock-out finish, this time against Williams Andres Herrera of Argentina in the seventh round of last night’s bout at the Ulster Hall in Belfast.

Clear favourite Donovan was given a tough examination by his opponent before stopping him one minute and 44 seconds into the seventh round after knocking him down twice with powerful body shots.

It was at this venue the now 25-year-old made his debut back in 2019.

Word now is that the Limerick southpaw will have a slot on the Katie Taylor undercard at Croke Park in May or a homecoming summer clash with Lewis Crocker (Antrim) at Thomond Park.

Donovan is coached by former World Champion Andy Lee of Castleconnell.
