Councillor calls for pedestrian entrance to Limerick Greenway at Ballaugh

Cllr Liam Galvin

FINE Gael councillor Liam Galvin has called for a pedestrian entrance to be sought by Limerick City and County Council at the bridge dividing Ballaugh and Dromtrasna in County Limerick at the Greenway.

Director of Service Gordon Daly told Cllr Galvin at a recent Newcastle West area meeting that the local authority is proposing to develop the Limerick Greenway hub/trailhead at Abbeyfeale.

“As this is 2.5km from Ballaugh, it is not proposed to develop a new access point at this location,” Mr Daly explained.
