Wins for Munchin’s and Crescent in Schools Cup

ST. MUNCHIN’S College and Crescent College Comprehensive both won their respective quarter-finals of the Munster Schools Boys Senior Rugby Cup mid-week.

Munchin’s defeated Bandon Grammar School (34-17) courtesy of tries from Adam Cusack, Matthew Te Pou, Tony Foley and inspirational captain Oisín Minogue (2), while Tom Wood was often accurate off the tee.

Presentation Brothers Cork (PBC) will provide semi-final opposition for the Limerick side. The tie is fixed for Virgin Media Park on Tuesday February 20, 1.30pm.

Crescent overcame Rockwell College (32-22), with tries from Jonathan Byrne, Ryan Scanlon, Ronan Ryan, Darragh McKeogh and Oran Copley, with the other points scored by kicker Evan Cusack.

In the semi-final, Crescent will meet CBC. This fixture is listed for Virgin Media Park on Wednesday February 21, 2pm.
