Lunchtime operatic flavours and sweet songs

THE Opera Workshop have announced two lunchtime performances at The Savoy Hotel Library in February and March.

Shirley Keane, Artistic Director reported, “As we prepare for our main production of 2024, The Ballybruff Trilogy at the Belltable in May, we are delighted to offer some appertives this Spring,  in collaboration with our friends at The Savoy, Limerick.”

The performers include Soprano Roisin Walsh, Mezzo-soprano Leanne Fitzgerald, Tenor Dean Power and Baritone Owen Gilhooly Miles with pianists Aoife Moran and Eoin Scanlon.  

Expect generous servings of operatic flavours, delicious duets and sweet songs with music by Mozart, Puccini, Strauss and Lehar

Two concerts now on sale are Thursday February 22 with Roisin Walsh, Dean Power and pianist Aoife Moran and Thursday March 21 with Leanne Fitzgerald, Owen Gilhooly Miles and pianist Eoin Scanlon.

Lunch served in The Savoy Bar from 12.45. Concert begins in The Library at 13.15  (finish time 2pm)
