LIMERICK groups who work with children are being encouraged to apply for RTร Toy Show Appeal funding.
Following the success of the appeal, โฌ3.6million is being made available in two funding rounds, with Community Foundation Ireland overseeing the distribution of grants.
The two grant rounds involve community grants of between โฌ10,000 and โฌ20,000 for local groups working with vulnerable children, and impact grants of between โฌ20,000 and โฌ50,000 for larger projects by groups with annual income exceeding โฌ500,000.
Denise Charlton, Chief Executive of Community Foundation Ireland said: “Our incredible partnership with the Toy Show Appeal has transformed young lives in Limerick and throughout Ireland.”
“Whether providing essential services to those living with illness, protecting children in violent homes or bringing play and creativity to those growing up in disadvantage the impact of the appeal has been transformative. Clearly Limerick viewers have bonded with the appeal. Now itโs time to once again turn that generosity into action,” Ms Charlton said.
Since the first broadcast of the appeal in 2020, more than โฌ21million has been raised by viewers.
