Limerick community groups encouraged to apply for Toy Show Appeal grants

LIMERICK groups who work with children are being encouraged to apply for RTร‰ Toy Show Appeal funding.

Following the success of the appeal, โ‚ฌ3.6million is being made available in two funding rounds, with Community Foundation Ireland overseeing the distribution of grants.

The two grant rounds involve community grants of between โ‚ฌ10,000 and โ‚ฌ20,000 for local groups working with vulnerable children, and impact grants of between โ‚ฌ20,000 and โ‚ฌ50,000 for larger projects by groups with annual income exceeding โ‚ฌ500,000.

“Whether providing essential services to those living with illness, protecting children in violent homes or bringing play and creativity to those growing up in disadvantage the impact of the appeal has been transformative. Clearly Limerick viewers have bonded with the appeal. Now itโ€™s time to once again turn that generosity into action,” Ms Charlton said.

Since the first broadcast of the appeal in 2020, more than โ‚ฌ21million has been raised by viewers.
