The visitors are managed by Mark Fitzgerald, who briefly held the reigns with Limerick last season. A key member of his backroom team is Seanie Buckley (Dromcollogher-Broadford), who captained Limerick to National League titles in both 2010 and ‘13.

Buckley is closely associated with Eire Óg, Ennis.

In Camogie League activity, Limerick were runaway winners over Kerry and Down at Senior and Junior Level.

Up next, Limerick host Down at Senior and are away to Antrim in Junior.

Meanwhile, former Clare football star Gary Brennan has joined dual-club Ahane, where he now resides with his wife Niamh Mulcahy, a 2009 Camogie All-Star nominee.

It’s now 20 years since Ahane won the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship.
