Home NHL tie switched to Cork

SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh

LIMERICK’S ‘home’ National Hurling League fixture with Tipperary on Saturday next (March 9) has been switched to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Upgrade works have been carried out over the last while but the venue needs more time to recover.

Limerick GAA stated:”In light of the current inclement weather conditions and low temperatures the pitch is not ready to facilitate such a game.”

It added: “We wish to extend its thanks to our loyal fan base and express our regret that we can not host this game. For anyone who has tickets purchased, Croke Park Ticketing office will be in contact in due course with details of new arrangements. We wish to acknowledge the assistance from Tipperary County Board, Cork County Board and SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and also the CCCC in facilitating the change.”

The statement concluded: “All other aspects of the fixture remain the same with a start time of 7:35pm and the game will be broadcast live on RTÉ Two television.”
