UISCE Éireann’s investment in County Limerick continues, with work underway in Murroe to provide a more reliable water supply to the community and reduce high levels of leakage.

The state-owned water utility has prioritised over 500 metres of water mains for replacement due to the increasing frequency of supply interruptions in the Limerick village as a result of damaged water main infrastructure.

The works will see old pipes at Abington in Murroe replaced with new modern pipes, which will ensure a significant reduction in disruption for users from bursts and supply interruptions.

The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Ward and Burke Construction Ltd and are expected to be completed later this May.
