UL Environmental Society to host special kind of treasure hunt

A TREASURE hunt of a very different kind is set to take place at University of Limerick (UL) this month when the sleuths at the UL Environmental Society will host a bioblitz.

The blitz will see UL face off with students from University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin, and Technical University Dublin in a challenge to see who can identify the most species in a variety of habitats across a three-hour period.

Students from the four universities will set out across UL’s campus on April 16 in an attempt to find the most diverse arrays of bugs, flora, fauna, and plantlife possible.
