LIMERICK people are being asked to come out tomorrow (Saturday April 13) and join a driven convoy to demand the re-opening of emergency department facilities at St John’s, Ennis, and Nenagh hospitals.

Organised by the Mid West Hospital Campaign, the ‘Drive to Survive’ Limerick leg will gather at St John’s Hospital from 12pm where vehicles will be joined by convoys coming from Clare and Tipperary.

Cars are expected to converge on St John’s in the city ahead of a noon take off to travel in convoy to the HSE’s offices in Hoiuston Hall Raheen.

The organisers will address the protest at the HSE offices. Marshals will be stationed along all routes to guide cars, organisers say.
