A BUDDING Limerick reporter received national acclaim when he was named Ireland’s top young news reporter at the 2024 Press Pass awards.
Art Thornbury of Villier’s School in Limerick City placed first in the News category at the Press Pass awards.
Run by NewsBrands Ireland, the awards are part of NewsBrand’s transition year news literacy and student journalism initiative.
Each year they highlight critical thinking and journalistic skills among students and how they use them to communicate about the world around them.
This year more than 300 schools took part nationwide.
