MUNSTER were clear-cut (47-12) victors over Connacht in a URC inter-pro derby at a well-populated Thomond Park.

In a scintillating display, in front of attendance of over 20,000 fans, Graham Rowntree’s outfit crossed for seven tries and this impressive bonus point win moves the holders up to third in the league standings.

A home quarter-final also beckons.

The tries flowed through RG Snyman, Calvin Nash, Alex Nankivell (Man of the Match), Conor Murray, Joey Carbery, Tom Aherne, and Shane Daly, with Jack Crowley adding the extras on six occasions.

Next up for Munster is a penultimate round visit to Edinburgh on Friday night.
