MIRANDA Ward of Tournafulla has been unveiled by Limerick Camogie as the winner of a Ford Kuga (or €45,000), the first prize in its successful fund-raising draw.

On the pitch, Limerick entertain Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Senior Championship at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Saturday (4pm).

The curtain-raiser is the Junior Championship tie between Limerick and Mayo, 2pm.

In ladies football, a solid opening-half display laid the foundations for Limerick’s 1-10 to 0-7 win over Cork in the Munster Senior Ladies B Football Championship Final in Mallow.

A goal from Caoimhe McGrath (Fr Casey’s) and some terrific points through the likes of Debroah Murphy (Monagea), Lauren Ryan (Adare) and Róisin Ambrose (Old Mill) helped Limerick into a healthy 1-8 to 0-2 half-time advantage.
