PREMIER League winners Aisling Annacotty have been installed as firm favourites to account for Nenagh AFC in the Lawson Cup Final at Jackman Park on Saturday (kick-off 6.30pm).

In the semi-final, John Lysaght’s Aisling beat great rivals Fairview Rangers 5-4 on penalties, after the sides had tied one apiece after extra-time.

Aisling have no less than four players from the recently selected Premier Team of the Season, namely Eliah O’Riordan, Tom Kidd, prolific goalscorer Adam Foley and Leon Daly, along with other quality individuals such as goalkeeper Josh Coady, Raid Mourus and Adam Costello.

Nenagh came through their semi 2-0 at home against Janesboro. In front of a huge crowd, the goals, in either half, came through Alan ‘Mini’ Sheahan and Kieran Barr.

An interesting final (Lipper Cup) is in 2A between Abbey Rovers and Herbertstown at Jackman Park on Sunday (10.30am).
